Sr. Manager, Value of Wholesale-310097
Description
Primary Purpose
This position is responsible for assisting in the identification, coordination and implementation of Value of Wholesale (VOW) supplier projects which are targeted to convert customers from the suppliers to ORS Nasco. This position will collaborate with the supplier management team, selected suppliers, Sales, Operations and Customer Care during the various aspects of the project to identify customers in targeted revenue tiers who would benefit from migrating the wholesale relationship from the supplier to ORS Nasco.
Major Responsibilities
* Coordinates with the supplier management team in the identification of projects
and management of the project pipeline,
* Develops, presents and discusses the VOW initiative with suppliers.
* Initiates projects with suppliers including data gathering, data analysis and project
plan development.
* Initiates projects with suppliers including data gathering, data analysis and

* Manages all aspects of the project plan and collaborates with the various groups
as needed through the life of the project.
* Faciliates project meetings, identifies and resolves issues.
* Reports on the progress of each active project in the pipeline as well as
implemented projects.
* Performs and provides analysis of customers, products, pricing and inventory
projects.
* Develops and implements marketing plans for each project.
* Understands and demonstrates United Stationers' Core Values.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge Required
* Proven Project management skills.
* Expert skills with Microsoft Excel; Intermediate skills with the other MS Office
applications.
* Ability to access, analyze and report out on project data.
* Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, external customers, associates
and management.
Education and Experience
* Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting is required,
or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
* Prior experience in marketing and/or sales in a wholesale distribution
environment is beneficial.
